Choosing to follow in my Grandad's photographical footsteps (he was a wedding photographer too!) I took the plunge and started my business in 2007. I originally chose to call the business Kyra Duckles Photographic but soon realised that very few people would spell “Keira” as Kyra. So I soon renamed to Tulip Photography inspired by the header photo I had chosen at the time.
Since the name change I have come a long way, having started as a part time photographer I have now been lucky enough to make this my full time job, if you can call it that - I would call it more of a love affair. Tulip and I have been going strong for over 6 years now.
About Kyra
A little about me: I love everything romantic, vintage and country. From old jars filled with wild flowers to little trinkets and afternoon tea. I must admit I am at my most relaxed when sat in a little tea shop with a scone, a cup of tea and my wonderful husband Adrian. This is how I spend far too many of my days off. I like to visit farmers' markets and take long summer walks in the Yorkshire Dales... and I will admit I do have a taste for the more western side of country too. Yes I will be open and admit I love to wear my old brown leather cow girl boots and listen to a little Carrie and Dolly from time to time.
Having read the above I am sure you can now work out that I am a sucker for a good romantic English country wedding. All this tied with a love of people and photography is how I came to be one of the lucky few who has a hobby as a career.
Area Covered
I primarily cover Hull and East Yorkshire (including Beverley, Driffield, Goole, Bridlington and Scarborough), although I sometimes do travel a little further afield. If you're not sure whether I cover your area just give me a call on 07864 960603.
